Presentations in English - How to Become a Top Performer

For most business professionals making a presentation successfully and with confidence is challenging and especially so when it's not in our own language. 'Presentations in English - How to Become a Top Performer' focuses on overcoming any shortcomings (weaknesses) we might have due to our level of English. Indeed if we were to do a S.W.O.T. analysis on our ability to make presentations it's quite possible that English would be positioned under weaknesses.

Whilst the basic principles of making a presentation are covered in the programme (many of you will have already participated in "Presentation seminars") the emphasis is on maximizing our strengths and as a result lessening the effect of our shortcomings.

This we achieve through taking a close look at how we can take advantage of topics like:
  • Non – verbal side of communication e.g. body language
  • Effective use of visuals- it's true a picture is worth a thousand words (very useful if we're not feeling so confident with our English)
  • Nerves – Accept them! Use them (every good actor feels a little nervous before going on stage)
Practical guidance is also included:
  • A handout is provided (also in electronic form for copying and pasting) with over 100 useful phrases that you can use in your presentation
  • Voice – Although the visuals will be doing most of the talking we will need to speak and a few simple techniques can ensure maximum impact.
  • PowerPoint Rules – We learn what to do and what not to do
Remember words are important but your non verbal, your facial expressions, body language and tone of voice, are even more important.

Having participated in 'Presentations in English - How to Become a Top Performer' your level of confidence will have risen and making presentations in English will have become a more rewarding performance for both you and your audience.
